NRF Harvest Food Trail 2021 and that’s a wrap!
The Northern Rivers Food Harvest Food Trail ran last weekend, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd May 2021.
The event comprised 24 food and beverage venues, the involvement of more than 33 local businesses and hundreds of attendees. Patronage was strong across all areas with all ticketed events selling out prior to the weekend and free, non-ticketed events enjoying a steady stream of visitors across their scheduled hours.
We are so pleased with the way our members and the community embraced our Harvest Food Trail.
While there were so many highlights to the weekend, every event on the program successfully promoted the Northern Rivers NSW region as a unique and exceptional regional food destination and celebrated the distinctive provenance of the region’s food.
There was an epic finale to the Harvest Food Trail on Sunday afternoon when the team at Rock Chic Eggs opened the big white gates of Sugar Beach Ranch for a free concert and catch up. The weekend celebrating all that the Northern Rivers has to offer culminated in a trip on the ferry from Ballina and a performance by Clunes locals The Buckleys.
Everyone’s hard work was celebrated by industry members and the public who so enjoyed sitting amongst the pandanus and sand hills, winding down with drinks and tunes from another local success story, bringing the weekend to a rapturous close.
The Harvest Food Trail was made possible by significant support from our sponsors, and our sincere thanks go to all of them. We would also like to thank Destination NSW for their support.
The Northern Rives Food Harvest Food Trail will run again in 2022. We encourage those in the food and beverage industry interested in being a part of the event to join Northern Rivers Food as a member and those hoping to be kept in touch with information about the Trail for next year to sign up to their website and follow our social media accounts.
