Harvest Food Trail

Foodie heaven awaits on the Harvest Food Trail May 2–5 2024

You’re invited to travel, taste and indulge in the best of the Northern Rivers

SUMMERLAND BANK TASTE OF HARVEST

Thursday & Friday 2-3 May

New to 2024. Preceding the weekend Harvest Food Trail are two days dedicated to tastings, cooking demonstrations, and food knowledge and skills across the region.

Think foraging-inspired menus, cooking with fire, cocktail making, amazing bush tucker brekkies, nose to tail eating, knife techniques and more. Join in these special events at some of your favourite restaurants, pubs and farmers markets.

TWOMEY DISPUTE LAWYERS HARVEST HUB

Saturday 4 May (free entry)

On the Saturday, from 11am – 4pm at the Bangalow Bowlo, you’ll have the chance to sample and buy from some of the local stars of the Northern Rivers food and beverage industry in an indoor farmers market-style event.

Appearing at the Twomey Dispute Lawyers Harvest Hub are new distillers, plant-based cheese producers, non-alcoholic beer makers, seafood sellers, shrub makers, olive growers, salumi makers and native jams and honey producers. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get up close and personal with these local businesses and hear the stories behind their brands.

HARVEST FOOD TRAIL

Saturday & Sunday 4-5 May

If your idea of foodie heaven is tootling along picturesque country roads and dropping into glorious farms, restaurants and cellar doors along the way, then the Harvest Food Trail is for you.

Now in its eighth year, our iconic self-drive trail is a unique opportunity to spend two days wandering through the gates and into the paddocks, kitchens, bottling rooms and packing sheds of some of the Northern Rivers finest food and beverage producers. It’s the ultimate way of going behind the scenes to where the magic happens.

This year’s Harvest Food Trail program features many free-to-visit locations and events, and a number of ticketed events that typically sell out quickly. See below for full details, plus booking links.

We’ll be adding more venues and events closer to the Harvest weekend so be sure to check back regularly.
Please note: details provided are a guide only and are subject to change. For disabled access information, please contact the venue directly as this will vary.

A massive shout out to our sponsors!

NRF are pleased to announce sponsorship support for our upcoming Harvest Food Trail this year includes:

Sponsors information

Twomey Dispute Lawyers

Twomey Dispute Lawyers are excited to be part of the 2024 Harvest Food Trail as sponsor of the Harvest Hub. We’re big fans of people doing specialised things very well – it’s what we do when it comes to disputes – and it’s exactly what we love about Northern Rivers Food. When you live in the Northern Rivers, life is too special to waste a minute more than necessary on a dispute. That’s why we opened an office here, bringing our very different style of dispute resolution and litigation to the region.

Summerland Bank

Summerland Bank is proud to sponsor ‘Taste the Harvest’ as part of the Northern Rivers Food Harvest Food Trail program. As a bank deeply rooted in the Northern Rivers community, we believe in the power of reciprocity. Our customers’ investments enable us to give back, supporting local businesses, charities, clubs, and associations. Sponsoring ‘Taste the Harvest’ aligns with our commitment to cultivating a thriving local community – providing an opportunity to connect people within the food industry, fostering a shared sense of identity and celebrating our unique community. We believe in investing in our region because what’s good for our community is good for us.

Lismore City Council

Lismore City Council is proud to be a Silver sponsor of the 2024 Harvest Food Trail. The Trail provides visitors and locals with an opportunity to jump in their car and visit some of our region’s best farms, distilleries, breweries and food outlets. Extending across the Northern Rivers, it’s a unique way to experience our beautiful region.

Stone & Wood

At Stone & Wood, good beer is our thing. Born and raised in Byron Bay, we’re the brewers of the original Pacific Ale. Our story began in 2008 with three mates who wanted to put community and connection at the heart of their brewery. We continue to believe it’s our responsibility to support the people and environment that support us. While our beer can be now be found around the country, the Northern Rivers will always be our home – a place synonymous with good friends, good times and good living. We make beer that’s simply good to drink and suits our way of life around here.

Lion & Lamb

Lion & Lamb is proud to sponsor this year’s Harvest Food Trail and the inaugural Harvest Hub and Taste of Harvest events. We love to see our region’s amazing local produce, venues, talent and innovation showcased, and given the spotlight it deserves. Like the Northern Rivers and its many delights, our studio is a place of ideas, inspiration and creativity. We’re a team of local talent – passionate about creating exceptional design and web campaigns, accessible for all.

Mark Napper Exit

The only certainty when you start a business is that one day you’ll exit it. And that’s where Exit Advisory Group comes in: we can help you maximise the value of your business and achieve a successful exit. Exit Advisory Group and our Principal Advisor, Mark Napper, whose passion for both business and the Northern Rivers runs deep, are thrilled to sponsor the Harvest Food Trail and support the fantastic food, beverage and agricultural industries of the area. Contact Mark on 0413007197.

Papa Salt

Papa Salt is delighted to sponsor this year’s Harvest Food Trail, with it fantastic showcase of culinary delights and beverages throughout this beautiful region. May 2024 holds special significance for us at Papa Salt, as it commemorates our inaugural year of distilling in Byron Bay, and we look forward to a lasting partnership with Northern Rivers Food.
