Harvest Food Trail – Something to look forward to in 2022
Northern Rivers Food (NRF) are pleased to announce that their annual Harvest Food Trail will be on again in 2022 offering another great self-drive food discovery Trail across the Northern Rivers NSW region over the weekend 7-8 May.
There are currently 35+ exceptional local food & beverage businesses signed on to participate in the event this year (a big increase from previous years), focusing on connecting you with real farm-gate experiences as well as local distillery tastings, tours, indigenous food walks, classes, demonstrations, three-course sit down dining and more from the region’s most-celebrated food and beverage producers, distillers and chefs.
“Part of enjoying the food is knowing the story…understanding where your food was grown, the regenerative methods the farmer used to produce your food, the families behind the brands and their unique stories. The Harvest Food Trail provides locals and visitors with an opportunity to sample fresh and beautifully prepared food by renowned local chefs, hear how it is grown and pay homage to our much loved local producers. Enjoy a leisurely drive at your own pace, choosing your own itineraries over the weekend”, said Anne Briggs, Executive Officer Northern Rivers Food.
“Our local food, beverage and hospitality businesses have been doing it tough in recent times. By participating in these local events you are supporting local businesses and showing your appreciation for their efforts in collectively making the Northern Rivers NSW such a foodie mecca.”
“We encourage the general public to save the date and to look forward to a weekend celebrating the region as a unique and exceptional food and beverage destination and celebrate the distinctive provenance of our local food. We hope the 2022 NRF Harvest Food Trail will provide a much needed opportunity to promote the amazing local food and beverage on offer across the Northern Rivers NSW region.”
Northern Rivers Food also asks that if there are any additional local food and beverage businesses interested in becoming involved in the Harvest Food Trail or who are interested in sponsoring the event to contact NRF at E: info@northernriversfood.org.
